While many brands use 0.6mm steel with very thin coatings, Tefora uses a 0.6mm DC51D steel core with upgraded Z275 galvanization and a durable, extra-thick protective coating system—bringing the total panel thickness to approximately 1.0mm, with about 0.2mm of coating on each side.
So, what does Z275 mean? Simply put, it refers to a heavier galvanized zinc protection layer on the steel. Think of it as a stronger rust-resistant jacket for the metal. Compared with lower galvanization levels such as Z80, Z275 provides significantly stronger protection against moisture, corrosion, and long-term outdoor exposure.
Combined with Tefora’s extra-thick coating system, this layered material structure helps the panels better resist scratches, rust, wet soil, rain, snow, summer heat, and seasonal temperature changes—making the bed well suited to backyards across Canada and the United States.
